Because I wanted some antivirus software, I downloaded and installed Microsoft Security Esentials, and it was able to update itself successfully. At this point I uninstalled Chrome, restarted my computer, and reinstalled Chrome, but I got the same error message. Even when I had no antivirus installed, Chrome didn't work. I noticed that I couldn't connect to the Internet using Chrome, and there was a problem with an Avira Update, so I uninstalled the whole program.
